The three join the Firm from Braumiller Schulz LLP, a leading firm in the field of international trade law.

    Ms. Schulz, who joins the Firm as a partner, brings more than 12 years of international trade and customs experience. She has experience handling matters involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, and the Bureau of Industry and Security. In addition, Ms. Schulz currently serves on the President's Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration, a senior-level advisory body to the U.S. Department of Commerce, and as an advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Aerospace.

    Ms. Manzanares, who also joins the Firm as a partner, focuses her practice on compliance with domestic and international regulations governing export of dual-use commodities, defense articles, software and technology. She frequently represents clients on compliance with ITAR, EAR, and the various embargo and sanctions programs administered by the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control. She also advises clients on import compliance matters, including valuation, classification and country of origin/marking issues, seizures of goods by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, anti-dumping/countervailing duty matters before the Import Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and trade litigation in the U.S. Court of International Trade. She also assists companies with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance matters.

Her expertise also includes assisting companies with voluntary disclosures to a variety of agencies, including the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, Bank for International Settlements, U.S. Census Bureau, and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
