    Founded in 1975, Leadership Dallas is a 10-month educational program designed to empower participants by growing their understanding of the challenges facing the community, offering unprecedented networking, and by instilling confidence so that they will become actively involved in promoting positive change while developing strong relationships with fellow classmates and community leaders. Since its formation, Leadership Dallas has graduated more than 1,900 men and women who continue to provide leadership in the region.

    Ms. Manzanares is co-chair of Gardere's International Trade Practice. A leader in the international trade and compliance arena, Ms. Manzanares routinely advises clients on compliance with U.S. and international regulations governing export of dual-use commodities, defense articles, and software and technology, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations, U.S. Export Administration Regulations, and various embargo and sanctions programs administered by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control. She also advises clients on compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and transactions before the Treasury Department's Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.

    After earning her bachelor's degree from Yale University, Ms. Manzanares went on to pursue a master's degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was recognized as an Accomplished Latina Woman in the Law by the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students' Association in 2012. Ms. Manzanares is actively involved in the Dallas community, serving as a volunteer for the North Texas Dream Team's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Legal Clinics, the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, and the Peace Through Business Program for the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women. She is also a Trustee for Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, where she serves on the Latina Outreach Advisory Committee.
