  • (1888PressRelease) September 29, 2013 - On the Eve of World Heart Day Dr.Hamdulay's Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre had organized a free Cardiac Health Checkup camp for the Journalist and Media Professionals on 25th and 26th of September some 200 professionals attended the event. Based on the reports, Dr. Zainul Abedin Hamdulay said that there is some serious revelation with regards to the heart ailments.

    Business Executive of a monthly special feature magazine, aged 29 years had serious cholesterol level issue, which is not good for heart's health. The report of an online media professional aged 31 years revealed some serious check- up issues which was alarming to heart. A sub-editor of a leading daily aged 34 years was advised for medication for a month to lower the down the levels harmful for heart. Likewise there were over a dozen in the age group of 30-40, who were advised caution and change in the lifestyle for the better care of the heart.

    Dr. Zainul Abedin Hamdulay said that he has operated on a patient as young as 23 years of age for heart problem. He further said that more premature heart attacks, disability and deaths among people in their prime age are on the rise. The reason cited by him is deskbound lifestyle, smoking, obesity, fast food consumption and high stress levels have led to a rise in incidence of heart disease in the younger generation. He said "the blood vessels can stay young for a long by avoiding smoking, unhealthy fats, alcohol, excessive caffeine and by consuming less than 4-5 gm of salt a day". Speaking about the caution he said, limiting Saturated fat, Trans fat, and Cholesterol will improve heart health. Choose Healthy food and increase the intake of fruits for better heart condition. Check your weight and try to maintain it by physical exercise.
