France, partner country for Prowein's 25th anniversary

  • (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2019 - For its 25th anniversary, ProWein will welcome 1,600 French exhibitors, including almost 900 in the French Pavilions powered by Business France located in halls 7, 11, 12 & 13.

    ‘Same but Different’ areas: craft and organic

    This year will be the first time the French Pavilion will have themed areas dedicated to organic wines (hall 13) and craft spirits and beers (hall 7) with a dozen exhibitors each (see floor map).

    For the 3rd year running, the #BonjourProWein Showroom will showcase a selection of the 100 most notable French wines and spirits chosen through an earlier tasting by a European jury jointly recruited by Weinwirtschaft and Business France.
    The opportunity for professionals to discover "a representative selection of the latest vintages - French savoir-faire will shine for ProWein's 25th anniversary!" said Benjamin Roffet, Best Sommelier of France 2010 / Best Craftsman of France Sommellerie 2011, and member of the jury.

    Peter Pröbstl, Buying Director for Wines at Edeka and member of the jury found some “full-bodied, well-structured genuine wonders” and commented that the selection tasting “reflected the diversity of wines and grape varieties from France”.

    After 25 years, it still feels like the first day!

    Business France and its partners (French Region & inter-professions) have invested in a large-scale promotional campaign to highlight the diversity of the expertise and terroirs of the country. It celebrates the unique relationship that has, for the last 25 years, united French exporters on a mission to conquer international markets, and trade professionals who have been visiting the show in ever-increasing numbers. After 25 years, it still feels like the first day!
