France is Brand Licensing Europe and beyond

  • (1888PressRelease) October 09, 2012 - A major event in the licensing industry, Brand Licensing Europe will be held at the Olympia exhibition centre in central London (UK) from 16 to 18 October 2012. In 2011, this leading trade show hit a record attendance with 7,430 visitors, a rise of 22% on 2010.

    A delegation of 10 French companies will be at the trade fair, sharing an 84m² pavilion (Stand D130) organised by UBIFRANCE, the French export-support agency, and supported by F2D2, the French Licensing Federation. The companies are listed below; further information is available on request.


    Alphanim's Licensing & Marketing Department develops and manages brand-licensing and merchandising programmes for both fully owned and third-party brands. Among other clients, Alphanim manages global rights to 50-year-old cartoon brand Calimero and represents US film studio The Jim Henson Company in French-speaking countries of Europe.


    Rooted in urban culture since 2003, BESOMEONE is an original, creative and competitive urban- and street-wear fashion brand. The company stresses the fact that it differs from the competition by way of its original creations, its complementary range of products and its values, such as respect and diversity.

    Cyber Group Studios

    Cyber Group Studios is a multi-award-winning independent producer and distributor specialising in quality children's programming with an international appeal. Through its Marketing and Licensing Department, the company has also developed a consumer-product licensing activity for each of its productions.

    France Televisions Distribution

    France Televisions Distribution (FTD) is a rights distributor and brand manager that works with producers and licensors to maximise the revenue of television programmes across all media platforms. FTD proposes global strategies that cover co-production, licensing, distribution, cross-overs between different media (from magazines to video on demand), and events tailored to audiovisual programmes.

    Les Editions Albert René

    Since 1959, Les Editions Albert René has managed the Asterix rights globally. Asterix, originally a series of French comics, is now an international expanded licence that is well known, thanks to more than 350 million comic books sold worldwide, eight animated movies, three live-action films, a theme park, and hundreds of spin-off products.


    Specialising in licensing, promotion, retail and television, Moonscoop thinks globally, with vertical integration across the entertainment value chain, from production to distribution, consumer products and new media. The company's core values are to establish properties with longevity, while innovating and diversifying.

    Moulin Rouge SA

    Moulin Rouge SA owns the rights to the trademarks and imagery of Moulin Rouge® (which stems from the Parisian cabaret) worldwide. The company provides specialist services through a growing portfolio of high-end licences, worldwide brand expansion, and licence development for everyday merchandise.


    Propertiz's portfolio includes the licences of French production companies Method Animation and Onyx Films. Propertiz handles the rights of a number of children-focused properties, including, Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) in close collaboration with the Saint-Exupéry-d'Agay Estate and a global network of licensing agents, as well as Peter Pan (worldwide, excluding France).

    Roland-Garros Collection

    Founded in 1987 for the French Open tennis tournament, Roland-Garros Collection now has a much wider presence in Brazil, China and across Europe. The company has enhanced its image worldwide through its co-branded products, including Adidas, Peugeot and Swatch, and is now opening up to new categories of products.

    Teo Jasmin

    A French household name for gifts, Teo Jasmin is launching its mascot, Teo Cherry, as an official licence. Although the bulldog mascot is already licensed in the stationery, interior-design, games, telecoms and gift fields, Teo Jasmin is looking to expand further the visibility of Teo Cherry.

    Created in 2009, the French Licensing Federation (or F2D2) is the official body representing the French licensing industry. F2D2 is open to IP owners and licensing agents based (and conducting business) in the French-speaking countries and regions of Europe. F2D2 is also an established think tank and a trusted source of information for its members. Since 2011, F2D2 has been the organiser of the French Licensing Awards.
