This event will be the 5th annual physical activity campaign, with a goal of 1,500 participants. The campaign is scheduled to commence on October 11, 2010.

In the Rainforest Run, Lee County School District employees will travel a "virtual trail" from Fort Myers to the Amazon. The goal of the event is to increase the number of employees getting 30 minutes of moderately intense daily exercise. The individuals and teams will be required to log exercise for 8 weeks. There are 8 milestones along the virtual trail, with each milestone offering a prize raffle which will be awarded at the end of the challenge.
