  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) August 25, 2014 - The Forbes Living TV show has been looking over the list of the world's most livable cities, according to the Economic Intelligence Unit, an arm of the journal "The Economist". If you wish to dwell in one of the top ten most livable cities in the world, you might want to move to Canada or Australia, because they occupy 8 of the top ten positions (considering one of them is in New Zealand, but that's close enough to Australia for most people). The Aussies take the top spot again with Melbourne coming in first as it has for the last four years running. Other Australian cities in the list include Adelaide, Sydney and Perth, with Auckland, New Zealand, rounding out the continent's victories. Canada can boast Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary as part of the top tier of livable cities. The only non-Canadian or Australian entries to make the list were Vienna, Austria, in second place and Helsinki, Finland, in eighth. The least livable cities in the world of the 140 that were listed, are mostly in war-torn areas of the world where one's mere survival cannot be guaranteed.
