Forbes Living to Report on Friendly Cities in an Upcoming Segment

Top Quote Forbes Living will investigate a new list of the nation's friendliest cities ... and those not so much so. End Quote
  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (1888PressRelease) August 17, 2014 - The Forbes Living TV show will look at Conde Nast Traveler's latest list of the friendliest and unfriendliest cities in the nation. For the second consecutive year, the friendliest title has been awarded to Charleston, South Carolina. As well as that accolade, the community was the only US city included on the worldwide list for last year. Other friendly cities winning a spot in the top 10 include Savannah, Georgia, San Antonio, Texas, Telluride, Colorado, and New Orleans, Louisiana. On the darker side, the least friendly community was reported to be Newark, New Jersey, beating even Islamabad, Kuwait City and Detroit. This was followed by Oakland, California, in second position, Detroit in sixth place, Los Angles in at number seven, and Miami in tenth place. At a time when tourist dollars are so vital to many of these locations, somebody should organize a "be nice" initiative. It would benefit everyone.

"Forbes Living viewers are savvy consumers and trendsetters who want to be the first to know about what's new and hot," said Ms. Riley.
