  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 04, 2019 - As autumn begins, St. Colette Parish in Rolling Meadows prepares for the seasonal needs faced by less fortunate families. This year, their efforts will have some help from two local entrepreneurs who are alumni of St. Colette’s school.

Ryan Gable, founder and CEO of StartingPoint Realty, and Mike Reppe, proprietor of Rep’s Place, a popular sports-themed restaurant, have teamed up to support St. Colette’s charity drive.

“We attended St. Colette together, and we share a passion for giving back to the community,” says Gable. “By working together, we hope to raise awareness for the Food and Coat Drive and encourage people to participate.”

Now through October 26, donations of new and gently used coats, along with non-perishable food items, can be made at 4 convenient locations:

    - Rep’s Place at 3200 Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows
    - StartingPoint Realty at 1515 E. Woodfield Road Suite 910, Schaumburg
    - StartingPoint Realty at at 3224 N. Damen Ave, Chicago
    - St. Colette Catholic School at 3940 Pheasant Dr., Rolling Meadows

Coats of all sizes are needed, as are donations of hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves. Needed food donations include canned meats, canned fruits, canned vegetables, box mixes, rice, and pasta.

On Saturday October 26, Gable will host a wrap-up party in the parking lot of Rep’s Place. Free hot dogs and chips will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to anyone bringing a donation. On the same day, local businesses will be hosting trick-or-treating for the kids.

“We hope to see a good turnout,” Gable says. "Every donation makes a difference.”
