Focus on innovative new product range
Zetag® 9000 – High-performance linear and crosslinked inverse emulsions.
- (1888PressRelease) July 19, 2010 - The world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, solid waste and resource management, IFAT Entsorga, will be held in Munich from 13 - 17 September 2010. BASF will be attending the fair in Hall A3, Stand 121/216.
BASF will be showcasing its new Water Solutions business unit, which emerged from the former Ciba Water Treatment business, for the first time. Under the motto “Clean Water for the World”, BASF will exhibit its products for use in all areas of municipal and industrial water treatment and effluent treatment. This year’s main focus is on the Zetag® 9000 series, a high-performance range of linear and crosslinked inverse emulsions. BASF’s extensive range of established products such as coagulants, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors and foam inhibitors will also be featured at the event along with dispensing equipment.
For Alan Dimery, head of BASF’s global Water Solutions business, Europe is a very important market: “The IFAT is the ideal venue for presenting the new developments in our Zetag® range to our customers and the market in general. Our creativity in solid-liquid separation processes and related applications will play a key role in the future development of our water business, and it will help to ensure that the world’s growing population is supplied with clean water and equipped with safe, reliable solutions for treating effluent.”
The BASF booth at the fair will be manned by an international team who will advise customers about BASF’s innovative new developments and extensive range of proven high-quality products.

The Zetag 9000 series was developed treating a wide variety of different types of sludge and waste water, and it represents a significant technological advance over other liquid flocculants. The products in the Zetag 9000 range give excellent results in solid-liquid separation processes, such as sludge dewatering. They are very economical to use and they are very effective for reducing overall treatment costs.
