  • (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2014 - The plant is to present its modern production of corrugated and molded packaging to European customers in agricultural sector. The plant will participate in the International Conference on gardening in the town of Krasnik, Poland at the end of January. The agricultural companies of Poland and other countries that will take part in the exhibition are major consumers of corrugated packaging.

Participation in this international event is not a coincidence. Increasing production capacity and applying innovative technologies, the First Carton Factory now does not only provide a large number of customers in the region with high quality products. Today the enterprise is ready to enter European market full-scale. The largest part of corrugated packaging - namely 65 % - is used in food industry. Moreover, recently the First Carton Factory has started adding carbon nanomaterials produced at another enterprise within Technopolis GS innovation cluster in carton production thus improving characteristics and quality of carton material.

The First Carton Plant is going to present a wide range of products made of corrugated cardboard as well as paper pulp molded tare. The plant's production capacity equals to 80 mln packaging and corrugated cardboard per year. The area of the enterprise is 5700 m2. The modern plant within Technopolis GS private innovation cluster in the Kaliningrad region is capable of carrying out orders to produce high-quality corrugated cardboard and products as well as recycled production for the needs of various European agricultural companies. Favorable geographic position allows simplifying logistics and reducing the cost of delivery to nearby European states. The production process of the plant is environmentally friendly and is aimed at increasing sustainability. Last year the plant launched a program for processing waste paper and other projects of the Kaliningrad region which allows using recycled waste paper to manufacture corrugated cardboard.

The First Carton Factory will be one more enterprise within GS Group holding to enter the international market. The company is already operating worldwide in diverse business fields ranging from telecommunications to wood processing. It is actively developing projects in different countries and entering various foreign markets. To illustrate, GS Group is implementing digital broadcasting projects in South-East Asia. At present time in Cambodia, One TV, the first digital terrestrial operator is successfully running on the basis of technologies and equipment produced by GS Group holding.

Broadcasting projects in Bangladesh and Indonesia are about to start. In 2013 the holding started construction of a wood-processing factory Sudoma in Pskov region, Russia. The future enterprise will be able to export quality wood building materials to Western European countries and Scandinavia at reasonable price.
