In the segment, "Americans Venture into Franchising," Jim spoke to host Logan Crawford about investing in a small business vs. investing in a franchise, and how soon one should expect to see a profit.

According to Jim, "what's more important for me as a financial planner, is for the client to understand why they want to be in a business. If they have a special product or service, then they want to do it (business) on their own, they don't necessarily want to get into a structured environment, even if they don't have the systems in place that could be built. On the other hand, if they happen to want that structure and that formation, and the branding, then franchises are great."
