  • (1888PressRelease) October 14, 2017 - The announcement was made by TechUK President, Jacqueline De Rojas, at Netlaw Media’s combined ‘London Law Expo / European Legal Security Forum 2017’ event which took place at the Old Billingsgate in London on Tuesday, 10 October 2017.

    Ms De Rojas heads the 12-strong judging panel overseeing the BLTA shortlisting and awards process. Between them, the BLTA judging panel has more than 150 years’ experience in the legal technology and technology markets, both as suppliers and consumers.

    The BLTAs comprise distinctive awards categories for law firms, barristers’ chambers and in-house legal teams operating in the UK, plus separate categories for legal IT vendors and consultants.

    Separately, the judging panel will bestow a lifetime achievement award on an individual that the panel concludes has been instrumental in driving the evolution and successful impact of technology within the legal services sector over the course of a long career.

    Winners of all BLTA categories (including the lifetime achievement award) will be announced at a black-tie ceremony to be held at the Plaisterers’ Hall in London on 15th November 2017, which will be hosted by comedian Marcus Brigstocke. Most tickets to this prestigious event, which will bring together dignitaries, nominees and guests in a celebration of exceptional achievement within the legal IT sector, have already been sold, with all remaining tickets available on a first-come-first-served basis.
