Top Quote Popular filmmaker Adrain Washington is hammering away at the industry. This year he is on schedule to release three short films ranging in lengths eight, twelve, and twenty minutes long. • (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2007 - It could easily be called an entire catalog of projects that volley between stage and screen. Adrain is listed as an Associate Producer of "Lifted" (Randy Dottin). He is the writer of an award nominated screenplay, executive producer, writer and director of four shorts and a short documentary, all with a combined total that match the industry standard of a feature. He has planned to shoot one stand alone feature film with a runtime of approximately 105 minutes, as the writer, director and producer. Lastly, Adrain is the writer of a stage play that carries the content that could rival the work of Susan Lori Parks' "TopDog/UnderDog".

Impressive, but none of this is extraordinary until you factor in that all of this is on schedule to happen in less than a year.

Adrain Washington has already embarked on a journey of a lifetime. When asked why he choose such a feet, he replied: "My friends and I needed work!" Quite noticeably a man on a mission, this seems like a lot for one man to carry. However, Adrain has managed it well. With already completing two shorts films before the summer he is on tract to finish ahead of schedule.
    .
Adrain states his goal is to surpass standards set by people he considers mentors such as Joe James, Spike Lee, Nelson George, Jim Mckay, Mario Van Peeples, Melvin Van Peeples, Paul Robenson, and Micheal "Boogie" Pickney.

Currently working on "Boxer", a twelve minute short written, directed and produced by Adrain Washington, it is obvious that Adrain has fuel to spare. His next short film "The Ozi Project", delayed due to festival appearances, is set to go into production in June 2007, followed by "The Los Angeles Project" in July. In August, Adrain will release his written stageplay, "Color Struck" while he and his crew, Kamal Robinson, Brandon Fobbs, Hollis Mermimger, Dave Johnson and Colleen Morris among others, will continually prepare for "The Angel Project" with a production date of September 1, 2007.
