  • (1888PressRelease) February 15, 2013 - Last week, New York City Economic Development Corporation and Fordham University announced the 2013 class of NYC Venture Fellows, a highly selective, year-long fellowship program to help the next generation of global entrepreneurs "make it" in New York City.

The newest class of NYC Venture Fellows that spans six different countries represent a wide variety of industries including media and emerging tech, biotech, fashion, education, financial services, and real estate.

The founder and CEO of Fueled (http://www.fueled.com), a leading iPhone app design and development agency based in New York, Rameet Chawla, is one of the 30 entrepreneurs selected through a competitive nomination and application.

Chawla thinks the fellowship program is very helpful for fellows who are trying to maintain company culture during periods of rapid growth. "Our company is at a critical stage in development now. We have a target number of employees of 90 by the end of the year," says Chawla.

Launched in December 2010, the fellowship program provides executive-level mentoring and exclusive networking opportunities to help entrepreneurs grow or expand their businesses in New York City. This year's NYC Venture Fellows will begin on February 25 with a series of events, including an opening reception, meetings with established New York City companies, workshops, panel discussions, and cultural events.

A select group of established executives including investors, serial entrepreneurs, CEOs and managers from companies based in New York City will serve as mentors to the NYC Venture Fellows.
