  • (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2013 - Fantrotter.com, the new travel website for fans, offers a one-stop-shopping experience to find, compare and purchase tickets, flights, hotels and car rentals for events large and small. This ticket+travel search engine allows users to look up the schedules of virtually any performer (bands, teams, festivals, comedians, theater and more) and conveniently helps them compare prices to find the best and least expensive ticket and travel options to get them to and from any ticketed event. The free site facilitates travel shopping coordinated with ticket prices and dates, presenting an estimated total trip cost for an entire experience in each city on the schedule, and enabling one-click purchase options from popular ticket sellers and travel suppliers.

"Fantrotter was created out of my own frustration while attempting to plan trips to see my favorite bands and sports teams," says Founder and CEO, Michael Coletta. "I travel a lot and often hit the road to see a new place as well as to catch an event. I found myself spending hours looking up ticket prices for different events, then performing separate searches for flights, hotels and car rentals, struggling to find the best prices for the dates and cities I was interested in. Fantrotter.com streamlines this research, saving time for the devoted fan, providing a new form of vacation inspiration for the casual fan, and saving everyone money in the process."

Also recently launched was "Fantrotter For Performers," the first Facebook app which any performer such as a band (as well as sports team, comedian, festival promoter or theater group) can install on their Facebook page, thus empowering their fans to travel to see them. "Our Facebook App can help promoters of all kinds of events sell more tickets, sell more merchandise, create social media buzz, and have happier fans," adds Coletta. Once installed, the app is easily accessible for any fan visiting the performer's Facebook page. The app can be installed quickly on practically any Facebook page in just a few clicks from https://apps.facebook.com/fantrotter/.

Immediately after installation, Facebook fans of the performer's page are able to quickly check prices on tickets, flights, hotels, and car rentals, and make their ticket and travel purchases from popular websites like Stubhub and Expedia. The performer's schedule must be published in the Fantrotter partner database (SeatGeek), but if it is not yet, they have the opportunity to add it. Flight pricing is currently for US-based departure airports only but international airports will be added soon. The app works side-by-side with other band and tour promotion apps such as BandsInTown, BandPage, Reverbnation etc.

"Our mantra is fantrotting; we're giving people the means to be the ultimate fan," says Coletta. "At the end of their lives, people always say they wish they had traveled more, listened to more music, and laughed more-that's what Fantrotter is all about- helping people do more of what makes them happy, now."
