  • (1888PressRelease) July 11, 2013 - Chennai: Explorations is the first cultural event by and for the CA students, that blends intellect, grace and creative flair. Explorations is a cultural event exclusively for the CA students conducted by the SICASA of SIRC of ICAI.
    The student - run and -organized festival sees students strive hard to make it all happen, and succeed. Actor Dr.Vijay will be the chief guest for the event and will be gracing the occasion.

    Students usually join CA and give up on all of their extra-curricular activities. Explorations gives them a place, a time & an event of their choice to do something that they always loved and enjoyed. It provides a platform to showcase their varied talents, get some time off their books and work and let their hair down.

    Explorations 2013 will include a variety of competitions and shows from photography contests to fashion shows. A large number of students from Universities and Colleges across Chennai, who pursue their CA education are expected to participate in the events. The event will be having the CA students from the city, and they will be showcasing their talent and creativity, in music, dance, photography, advertising, fashion shows and much more.

    Dance show where the most talented dance troupes energize the crowd with their fiery performances, and fashion show where the gorgeous and handsome students churn out the right mix of beauty and talent to win everyone's hearts, are the most popular competitions.

    The cultural event comprises of the following categories of shows & contests:
    1. Singing (solo): All type of Instruments, Shruthi box, Karoke can be used. No song/genre restriction. Film songs allowed
    2. Dance (group): No song/genre restriction & film songs are allowed
    3. Dance (solo): No song/genre restriction. Film songs allowed
    4. Adzap: AD ZAP - It is all about advertising, and thinking outside the box, because creativity is always appreciated by masses. Different forms of expression like a short skit, jingles, slogans, banners or any other innovative form can be used
    5. Block and Tackle: The topics given will be in general and might sometimes sound absurd and funny but will be primarily designed in order to test the participants humour, presence of mind and confidence.
    6. Fashion Show Theme: Ethnic
    7. 2 minutes to fame (solo)which includes any type of performance to explore the talent of the students
    8. Photography
    There will be individual prizes for each event and all the winners of each competition will be felicitated.
