  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2013 - Lana Calloway, CEO of Exhibit Resources, a full-service exhibit design and production agency, announced that the firm hosted a job shadow program, Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy on Tuesday, February 26. The Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy was directed towards seventh-grade girls taking classes on Entrepreneurship and business ownership wanting to discover opportunities available to them in their future

Through North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE), Exhibit Resources participated in Students @ Work Week by holding Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy. Twenty-five seventh-grade girls attended to see first-hand the skills needed to perform certain jobs, connect what they saw to what they are learning about in entrepreneurial classes, and engage actively in the compelling work day at Exhibit Resources. Calloway shared Exhibit Resources' business profile and took the girls on an operations tour. Building their own exhibits out of reclaimed materials, the girls shared their entrepreneurial ideas in some very creative ways.

"We considered it a privilege to host Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy," said Calloway. "Exhibit Resources was eager to help students connect what they are learning in the classroom to the workplace. Our involvement with NCBCE has allowed us to connect even deeper with the community and help mold the future of the business world."

"The entrepreneurial business course offered at our school is designed to explore the nature of business in an international economy. As a woman-owned business, Exhibit Resources is a great example for our students," stated Diane Cadavid, Career Development Coordinator.
