Ex Works Delivers Relief for Change Five Compliance

However, much of the responsibility has fallen on the forwarding community.
"We found that forwarders and airlines were duplicating efforts. Each business was formatting the data to IACMS specs and entering the same driver information for upload to the TSA. We estimate that for every 100 trucking companies, forwarders were expending over 315 hours of labor for file preparation and submission.

Change Five is not a one-shot requirement. The TSA requires that forwarders must continuously update driver information and resubmit updated files on a monthly basis. "In order to ensure continuous compliance," he says, "COMPLY supplies forwarders with a new set of updated files containing all of the driver changes in the last 30 days."
