  • (1888PressRelease) March 16, 2011 - Organized by China Electricity Council, EP exhibition are held in Beijing and Shanghai in alternate years since 1986. With full support from major power group corporations and power grid corporations of China, EP is recognized as the largest and world-known electric power and electrical exhibition in China, endorsed as UFI Approved Event. To cope with the huge market demand, the coming editions - 2011 International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology (EP Shanghai 2011) and 2011 International Exhibition on Electric Power Automation Equipment and Technology (Electric Power Automation 2011) will move to the new fair ground - Shanghai World Expo Theme Pavilion Hall, to be held from 21-23 September 2011. The show scale is expected to upsurge doubled of its previous edition to gather over 600 worldwide exhibitors!

    The 2010 edition - EP China / Electric Power Automation 2010 was successfully held in Beijing in October 2010. Over 500 leading global suppliers from 20 countries and regions had participated in the fair. Amongst are 3M, ABB, Siemens, Hyosung, Hyundai, Schneider, Huadian, LS Industrial System, LS Cable, Eaton, Japan AE Power, Sew-Euro Drive, GE Energy / GE Industrial Systems, Hitachi, Ormazabal, Pentair, MR China, Rittal, S&C, Tyco, Phoenix Contact, Mennekes, Yantai Dongfeng, XJ Group, Tengen Group, Huaming, etc. In addition, many domestic famous enterprises exhibited with large booth space, including Jilin Yongda, Noark, Beijing Qingchang, Chint Group, Yege, Kaiquan Pump, and so on. Moreover, international pavilions led by Germany, the United States (US Commercial Service) and Taiwan Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) brought their state-of-the-art products and technology to the fairground. The fair was well attended by over 26,300 trade visitors, including more than 1,600 overseas trade visitors from 54 countries and regions.

    Furthermore, the exhibition welcomed many honorary guests from the government and leaders from power plants and power grid corporations. For instance, Mr. Liu Zhen-ya, President and CEO of State Grid Corporation and President of China Electricity Council, Mr. Huang Yu-min, Vice President of State Electricity Regulatory Commission and senior representatives from State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, Huaneng, Datang, Huadian, Guodian, China Power Investment, etc, attended the opening ceremony and visited the show.

    A series of concurrent activities along EP China 2010 attracted over a thousand of industrial professionals to attend. They included "Smart Grid Conference", "Green Energy Symposium" and "Electric Power Automation Forum". Speakers included experts of the industry such as Mr Sun Bolin, Director of Expert Advisory Committee of Chinese Association of Automation; Dr. Xie Hailian from ABB China Research Institute; and Mr Zhang Wenguang from Siemens Energy Saving Center, etc. that exchanged the latest information on electric power automation and energy conservation with visitors; and to make analysis on the trend of smart grid development.

    Perpetuating its success, the next edition - EP Shanghai / Electric Power Automation 2011 has gained widespread recognition from international trade associations and global market leaders. According to the organizer, most of the old exhibitors and world famous enterprises have taken the lead in booking their booths, including ABB, Siemens, Hyosung, Hyundai, LS Industrial System, LS Cable, Chint, Schniewindt, Japan AE Power, Roechling, Hitachi, Pentair, Ormazabal, Rittal, Wacker, Eaton, MR China, Multi-Contact, etc., while many have largely expanded their exhibiting area. The organizer remarked that responses towards Electric Power Automation 2011 are encouraging. Numerous well-known exhibitors from power automation and smart grid related equipment suppliers have confirmed many prime booth locations at the fairground, such as Oppfly Tech, Kexing, Woodward Controls, Mecano Components, Golden Highway, etc.

    Moreover, apart from the long support of Germany, Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States to set up pavilions, there will be new pavilions from Taiwan, France and Russia in 2011 edition. To facilitate buyers' matching with the exhibits, several special theme zones will be initiated in 2011, including low-voltage electrical appliances, new energy and so on.
