  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) March 01, 2011 - Endeavor, The Truck Roll Company of Choice for carriers, service providers, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, today announced that its employees have collected canned goods and monetary contributions equivalent to nearly 2,000 pounds of food that was donated to Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). Endeavor employees' efforts will supply 1,425 meals to low-income Georgians through ACFB's network of more than 700 nonprofit partner agencies throughout Atlanta and North Georgia.

"The annual holiday food drive really gets the team excited about working together to give back to the community," said Jennifer Baron, Endeavor's Chief of Staff and food drive coordinator. "Every year, there is a big competition not only between the two teams but also to exceed the amount of donations from previous years. The staff takes a lot of pride in the event, since everyone really supports the mission of the Atlanta Community Food Bank in its efforts to provide warm meals for the less fortunate."

As with previous food drives, the Endeavor staff was split into teams, each sponsored by a member of the executive management team, which promoted a friendly, if not aggressive, competition aimed at maximizing the positive impact for the Atlanta community. The strategy once again proved to be successful, as the results yielded 1,425 meals for low-income families.

The annual holiday food drive is just one of the many service projects in which Endeavor has participated. Previous efforts include assisting Habitat for Humanity in building homes in the Atlanta area and the Hunger Walk, which is also sponsored in part by the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
