  • (1888PressRelease) November 28, 2013 - The idea behind the card is that Bon Appétit Card holders visiting the Middle East from Europe can enjoy significant savings off their food bill by presenting their card at any of the participating restaurants and big hotel- restaurant chains.

In addition, any Emirates NBD card holder travelling to Europe can benefit from a significant 50 per cent saving at all participating restaurants when paying the bill with their Emirates NBD credit or debit card.

The bank behind the initiative, Emirates NBD, is the largest bank in Dubai and the Middle East, and the partnership with the leading pan-European restaurant discount card, Bon Appétit Card, signals the very first partnership of its kind.

In the year since it was introduced, the Bon Appetite card has attracted more than 800 affiliated partner restaurants to the scheme due to its unique nature and its ability to help restaurants attract additional custom, in a tough economy.

Peter Ayo Marpuri, CEO & founder at Bon Appetit Card said: "What we have is a truly unique approach to bringing together restaurants from the West to the East and it's tailored perfectly to those travelling around Europe and the Middle East."

"We're delighted that in the very short space of time since we established the 'Bon Appétit Experience', we have had such a fantastic response - it shows that there is most definitely a demand for this kind of discount card and we hope to see membership with partner restaurants grow even further.

Mr Bharath Aravamudhan, Associate VP - Cards Portfolio at Emirates NBD commented: "This is a big initiative for the bank and we are looking forward to launching this to our customers soon. The beauty of it is that anyone who travels frequently, and likes to make fine dining an integral part of their holiday or trip, can do so while saving money in the process. The restaurants get more custom while Bon Appétit Card holders and our members enjoy superb savings. It's a really fantastic offering."

Romantic diners in Paris, couples soaking up the Dubai sunshine and everyone in between can now eat for less at exclusive restaurants in exclusive and in-demand places. For more information or to request a Bon Appétit discount card, visit www.bonappetitcard.com.
