  • (1888PressRelease) December 07, 2016 - Editage sponsored the award for the outstanding paper of 2015, presented by the Journal of Chemical Engineering of Japan (JCEJ), an official publication of the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ). Since the year 2000, JCEJ has been awarding the outstanding paper each year. This year, Editage, which has been associated with JCEJ for over 5 years, sponsored 200,000 JPY to winners of the outstanding paper award. In total, five research papers from JCEJ and three papers from Kagaku Kogaku Ronbunshu (SCEJ's journal in Japanese) won the award. Editage's sponsorship of this award comes at a time when young researchers in Japan need to be encouraged through such awards and monetary prizes.

Makoto Yuasa, Representative Director, Editage, felt honored to present these awards to the winners alongside some of the brightest minds of Japan from the field of chemical engineering. He expressed his gratitude by stating, "We have always been eager to promote good science and motivate researchers. Editage is thankful to SCEJ for giving us the opportunity to sponsor this award. I would like to congratulate all eight winners of the award. I hope that this small contribution can help their future endeavors in some way. Researchers should concentrate on the science. We assure them that experts at Editage will always be available to help them overcome the language barrier."

Although many societies have annual awards for outstanding research papers, the awardees rarely receive a monetary prize. Editage hopes to sponsor similar awards and monetary prizes to researchers from other research fields. Such an initiative, involving monetary prizes, is expected to encourage promising researchers from various fields of research.
