  • Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2019 - A reimagined Easter Brunch experience is headed to the newly renovated Oak Brook Hills Resort. The dazzling talents of new Executive Chef Victor Martinez will be on full display for a fresh spin on a longstanding holiday tradition that has sold out the Grand Ballroom for years. On Sunday, April 21st, Victor introduces Easter from the Chef’s Table – a celebration of food, family and friends.

“This is a new way to experience Easter Brunch to go along with the resort’s new look and experiential attitude,” says Victor, who helped re-open Oak Brook Hills Resort in December following the completion of a multi-year renovation. “Come see why they’re calling us the ‘Hidden Gem of the Suburbs’!”

The focus of Victor’s culinary vision for Easter from the Chef’s Table is on live, Ballroom-side preparations made-to-order for guests. Over the course of two seatings (10 – 12 pm and 1 – 3 pm), Victor and his team of skilled cooks will lead an interactive brunch featuring artistic chef’s action tables. From hand-battered omelets and Liège waffles to hand-sliced sirloin and smoked ham smothered in house honey from resort hives, guests can choose from a variety of hand-crafted options. In fact, the level of personal attention Victor is giving to the whole Easter menu is unlike anything ever attempted at Oak Brook Hills Resort in the past – with lavish tables heaping of delicacies like shucked oysters and crab claws, Crème Brule French toast, forest mushroom cavatelli, almond bisque soup, Roquefort salad, children’s favorites and much more. In addition to a DIY bloody mary bar and mimosas, guests can expect for dessert an inspired sweets table highlighted by decadent home-made items like sundae cones, S’mores, carrot cupcakes and lemon tarts.

The Grand Ballroom, with its 13,000 square feet of opulence that evokes the mid-century Golden Age of Leisure, will be outfitted with festive décor to set the warm and inviting Easter Sunday scene for those young and old. As an added treat, young ones will receive a visit by the Easter Bunny along with fun-filled activities like holiday arts and crafts and a petting zoo.
