  • Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2012 - During the holiday season, DynCorp International team members from Ft. Worth, Texas, partnered with Toys for Tots to donate toys to children in need.

As part of the Marine's Toys for Tots annual charity drive, the office delivered toys donated by DI employees for the drive. It was the third time the Ft. Worth office participated in the annual event, donating more toys than in previous years.

"We were able to collect roughly three times the amount of gifts we collected last year," said Steve Cantrell, Admin Services senior manager.

Cantrell played Santa on wheels, pulling a trailer full of new, unwrapped toys with his truck in route to the drop-off location. A convoy of cars and motorcycles joined him.

Cantrell said the Ft. Worth office's delivery of presents to Toys for Tots is now an annual holiday tradition.

Though DI employees donated most of the toys, employees from CenterScope Technologies (CSTI), DynCorp International's Mentor Protégé program partner, generously participated in the event as well. Hotel employees and guests from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Marriott Hotel also donated toys.
