    During this year's award ceremony, senior marketing executives were chosen from HSBC, Coca-Cola, Nikon, Mercedes Benz and FedEx to select winners for nine categories based upon the agency's vision, creative work, and dedication to staff training. Marketing Magazine is Asia pacific's leading measure of agency performance, an unbiased indicator of talent and trust based on overall company performance, overall project performance, staff stability and management leadership. The MARKies Award was introduced in 2011 for the first time to recognize the most "customer-preferred" agency.

    During the past year, DT Asia was appointed as Hong Kong's first official agency at the Shanghai World Exposition 2010. It was responsible for the United Nations' Devnet Pavilion and World Trade Centers Association Pavilion. The marketing position of the exposition was clearly conveyed through hundreds of uniquely tailored promotional campaigns and events. Within the United Nations' Devnet Pavilion, a direct broadcasting system was created, showing the exposition at New York's Time Square, receiving attention from more than three hundred international broadcasting channels. With the extreme success at the Shanghai World Exposition, iDT, the sub-department of DT Asia specializing in digital media, was the co-organizer of the Shanghai Expo's Digital Media Merit Award. This award is only intended to honor those who bring forth the most creative and notable contributions.

    Another note-worthy event that was striking to the judges was "Aura by Swarovski", a collaboration between Clarins Fragrance and Swarovski to launch Swarovski's first fragrance. Combining the femininity of fragrance with the irreplaceable value of precious stone, Diantang Events created a spectacular event that captured the essence of both brands.
