He will be responsible for directing the E Source greenhouse gas (GHG) consulting practice and developing new products and services for enterprise GHG management.

    Dr. Vranes was formerly a principal consultant with Point380, a Boulder-based strategic energy and climate consulting firm, where he provided technical analysis and strategic advice on carbon emissions, carbon risk and finance, energy use, and climate and energy policy for corporations and trade associations. He also served as a senior legislative assistant to Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) in Washington, D.C., where he worked on significant environmental and energy legislation such as the Energy Policy Act and the Clean Water Act, handled constituent and lobbyist meetings, and staffed committee hearings and bill markups. Dr. Vranes received his PhD in ocean and climate physics from Columbia University.
