Donate Used and Unused Medical Equipment

Step 1: Gather Your Stuff
If you are an individual who has unused medical supplies or lightly used medical equipment to donate, then please gather them together.
Step 2: Give Them a Look Over
Donating items that are in working condition, contain all of their pieces and parts, and are free of stains and rips is the best way to ensure that your goods do the most good. We accept most home medical equipment- such Bath Chairs & Benches, Bed Rails, Canes, Commodes, Crutches, Chairs, Lift chair with recline function, Geri Chair with recline function, foot rest & tray table, Hip Chair, Straight Chair with two arms, Children's walkers, standers, feeding chairs, wheelchairs, tumble forms, tricycles, etc., Cushions, Wedges, Rolls, Positioning Pillows, Seat & Back, Eating, Dressing, Bathing Aides, Reacher / Long handled Shoe Horn / Sock Aid / Button Hook / Zipper Pull, Exercise Equipment - only small or lightweight items accepted, Hand & Ankle Weights, Pedal Exerciser, Exercise Balls, Bands & Door Pulleys, Mats & Small Exercise Tables, Grab Bars, Tub Clamps & Safety Rails (bath), Hospital, Patient Lifts (AKA: Hoyer lift with mesh or canvas sling), Portable Ramps, Shower Chairs & Benches (bath), Transfer Benches (bath), Transfer Board or Sliding Board, Trapeze Bars (freestanding & attach to bed), Traveler Chair or Companion Wheelchair, Tray Tables (rolling table that goes over bed for meals), Walkers, Walker Baskets & Pouches, Wheelchairs, manual & motorized (all types), Scooters, motorized, Vehicle Lifts (for wheelchair or scooter). What Is My Donation Worth?
All of Goodwill's donation centers are staffed by company representatives to issue donors receipts for tax purposes. It is also recommended that donors keep itemized lists of their donations. The Internal Revenue Service allows a deduction for each item, but the donor determines each item's value. Generally, an item's value should be based on fair market value - what the item would sell for in a thrift store.
