Discovery World Corporation (PSE: DWC) received the Excellence in Tourism Entrepreneurship and Promotion Award at the Manila Overseas Press Club Grand Tourism Awards, held August 15 at the New World Hotel Makati.

First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos was guest of honor at the ceremony.
The recognition highlights DWC’s continued investments in tourism and its role in shaping the Philippine travel landscape through innovation and stewardship.
The MOPC Grand Tourism Awards honor leaders and innovators across the sector. Recipients are presented with the handcrafted, Italy-made Golden Bell of Excellence trophy. Tourism accounts for 8.9 percent of the country’s GDP, with 60 million domestic airline travelers and 7 million projected foreign arrivals this year, aligning with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s designation of tourism as a national priority.
