  • (1888PressRelease) March 24, 2011 - Diaz & Cooper President Otmara Diaz-Cooper and Vice President Todd Cooper attended a special charity event to benefit CHARLEE (Children Have All Rights: Legal, Educational and Emotional), a respected Miami-Dade charity serving abused, abandoned and neglected children.

This "CHARLEE and The Chocolate Factory" event turned Pinecrest's Evelyn Greer Park into a wonderland of delicious treats, fun games and exciting entertainment, all in hopes of furthering CHARLEE's mission of providing exceptional services for children in need. CHARLEE now has 27 years of experience providing a host of supportive services for children and young adults, including full case management services, a wide foster care and adoption network and psychiatric services.

While Miami Herald columnist Dave Barry was the master of ceremonies, jugglers, face painters, singers and dancers entertained the crowd. A special homage was even paid to the event's namesake book with an Oompa Loompa parade. As the name would suggest, there was no shortage of sweets either with a candy shop, gourmet treats and "Lollipop Lane."

The Coopers also helped the fundraising efforts by bidding in the event's silent auction, winning a group event at the Titanic Brewery. This event proved an opportunity to show the continued dedication to serving the community by Diaz & Cooper and its principals. In addition to participating in this type of event, Diaz & Cooper has donated pro-bono work to multiple organizations and provided working time for employees to participate in philanthropic events.
