Detroit, MI - The City of Detroit has joined forces with Leading Rental to deploy more than 300 porta potties and hygiene stations across key neighborhoods. This critical initiative supports residents and workers during extensive infrastructure repairs and temporary water service interruptions.
The partnership responds directly to water line and sewer upgrades affecting several east side residential areas. With temporary disruption to permanent restroom access, city leaders are ensuring hygiene and dignity remain intact for all Detroiters.
“Portable sanitation is a vital service that safeguards public health and dignity, especially during major infrastructure projects,” said a spokesperson for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. “Partnering with Leading Rental ensures that our residents have access to clean, reliable restrooms when they need them most.”
Leading Rental is deploying a variety of units, including standard portable restrooms, ADA compliant models, and standalone handwashing stations. Each unit will be serviced regularly, with scheduled cleaning, restocking, and maintenance to uphold high sanitation standards.
