  • Denver, CO (1888PressRelease) February 09, 2010 - Colorado-based Groove Automotive Group, announced today that it has increased its stake in Denver's automobile business scene with the purchase of two more Burt Automotive franchises and a Burt auto brokerage: Burt Ford and Mazda on Arapahoe Road and H.M. Brown & Associates, all located in Centennial. The dealerships have been renamed GROOVE FORD AND GROOVE MAZDA. Auto brokerage H.M. BROWN & ASSOC. will continue to operate under its present name.

Groove's President and CEO, Rod Buscher, lauded the Burt organization's Colorado legacy, which goes back 70 years. "The Chavez family has a long history of contribution to the Colorado community, to our state's automotive industry and to providing their customers with quality service," he said. "Groove will maintain and enhance these important traditions."

Buscher, known best to Coloradans as co-founder of the John Elway Dealerships and Groove COO Bill Carmichael, say they promise to bring the same innovative business practices they've established at Groove Toyota Scion and Groove Subaru on Broadway, to the new Groove Ford and Mazda dealerships on Arapahoe Road in Centennial.

"We understand that Burt Ford and Mazda have many long-time, loyal Ford and Mazda customers." Carmichael said. "We promise them a smooth transition as well as a unique dedication to service excellence as we welcome them to Groove." He added that the group's purchase of the H.M. Brown brokerage will "allow us to provide our customers with just about any make and model of vehicle they could want."

According to Buscher, the group is especially enthusiastic to include these two particular brands within its Colorado network. "Ford and Mazda are stellar manufacturers," he said. "Mazda has always been known for its reliability and ground-breaking design, while the recent success Ford has achieved is a testament to the inherent quality and value of its vehicles and to the forward-looking nature of the company."

The Groove auto group has realized tremendous success since its foray into the Denver auto market last August. In just six months, Groove Subaru has achieved the distinction of being one of the largest Subaru dealerships in the nation and Groove Toyota has risen in stature to third in the Denver market place.

Groove Ford and Mazda join a group of 32 other automobile dealerships across the nation owned and operated under the parent company name Summit Automotive Partners-summit-ap.com. Twelve of its automobile dealerships are now based in Colorado: Groove Ford and Mazda in Centennial, Groove Toyota, Scion and Subaru in Englewood - grooveautomotive.com; Vista Subaru and Jeep Chrysler Dodge located in Silverthorne, and Vista Chevrolet, Honda and Subaru in Glenwood Springs-vistacolorado.com.

The group also owns dealerships in New England and Nashville.
