  • Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) September 07, 2013 - Dark Water Productions is ramping up their biggest production since their feature film debut, Ominous, in 2009. A company that has dabbled in the short film market for the last few years, To Topple an Empire is their next endeavor, and with a 40+ page script and the possibility of converting the project into a feature length if all of the pieces fit, they are in store for one of their biggest productions yet.

Created as a starring vehicle for Sean Patrick Flaherty (Daddy Day Camp, Not Your Time), the film also features Garret Sato (Pearl Harbor, Wolverine), Sidney Liufau (Blade, Faster), Art Lynch and many more talented actors and actresses in an ensemble cast.

The film will be shot in Las Vegas, NV and production is expected to complete in late October to early November; this is assuming the film doesn't add scenes. To Topple an Empire is the story of Aidan Clarke as he is brought in front of mob boss Vincent Donnelly. Through a series of flashbacks, Aidan tells Vincent how he alone has taken out key members of his organized crime family, but as the story moves deeper, the lies that litter Aidan's storytelling becomes apparent to the ruthless mob boss.

Produced by Kevin Flaherty and Sharry Flaherty, To Topple an Empire is being Written and Directed by Curtis Melroe, a Full Sail University graduate with an MFA in Creative Writing, and several short films under his belt. With a diverse cast and a dedicated crew, Dark Water Productions hopes to produce a high quality film that transcends what is typically seen at short film and film festivals alike.
