    For almost 15 years, Ms. Brown has represented business clients in a wide range of commercial disputes involving trade secrets, class actions, contracts, intellectual property, board governance, product liability and personal injury claims. Her experience involves industries as varied as banking and financial services, real estate and construction, educational institutions, telecommunications, transportation and manufacturing. She joins Gruber Hurst from the Dallas office of Locke Lord LLP.

    Ms. Brown currently serves as secretary-treasurer of the Dallas Bar Association, and has served in multiple capacities as a director and officer of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, in addition to serving as a co-chairperson of a Dallas Association of Young Lawyers' committee to support diversity and education.

    Ms. Brown is a director of both the Dallas Black Theater and Bryan's House, and has held numerous leadership positions with the Dallas Museum of Art's Junior Associates Circle and the Junior League of Dallas. Her other community service involvement includes participation in the "Lawyers on Loan" program conducted by the Dallas County District Attorney's office, and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

    Recognized five times in the Texas Rising Stars listing, and named in 2006 among Dallas' top lawyers under the age of 40 by D Magazine, Ms. Brown also was honored in the statewide "Multicultural Power 100" list published by the Texas Diversity Council in 2010.

    Ms. Brown earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1998 and her undergraduate degree from SMU in 1995. She currently serves as a director of the SMU Alumni Association.
