    Vincent Conte began his career as a security officer in 1978. Working at various sites, he then was appointed to work at a local hospital. He also served as a police officer, reaching the level of detective, and has spent years working in dignitary protection in both the security and law enforcement fields. His combined experience in law enforcement and security total 37 years.

    Vincent Conte began his career as a security officer in 1978. As a security officer, he worked at various sites ranging from department stores, construction sites, jewelry stores, and driving limousines. He also served as a police officer in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York. After being promoted to the rank of detective, he spent years working investigations as well as dignitary protection and as an instructor in the Detective Bureau Training Unit. After retiring from the NYPD, he re-entered the security field full-time working for the New York Stock Exchange for a number of years. His combined experience in law enforcement and security total 37 years.

    Now a site manager for Universal Protection Service, he is responsible for 40 security officers at four different buildings. He is in charge of the day to day security operations, does daily scheduling, vacations, training, as well as coordination with building facilities and management on a number of different issues.

"At my level at the time in both fields, I didn't have the authority to make changes; I could only make suggestions, most of which fell on deaf ears. Because I wanted to make a difference I went after the current position I now hold."

    Hoping to begin initiating policies that better serve clients as well as the officers that provide the service to the clients, Mr. Conte is proud of his many years of service. Having spent 20 years with the NYPD, he received numerous awards including the Chief of Detectives Award and an award in the grade of commendation. He is also an active member of The Knights of Columbus and New York City Detectives Endowment Association.
