  • San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2015 - Richard M. Brenner, Chief Executive Officer of The Brenner Group, Inc., has been selected as a VIP Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Richard M. Brenner began his career in 1966 as the Controller for Autographic Business Forms in New Jersey. In 1973, he moved to California as one of the first employees of National Bank Americard (now VISA) as their Operations Center Controller.

Currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Brenner Group, Inc., which Mr. Brenner founded in 1987, the organization focuses on providing outsourced "C Suite" level executives, business valuation services and other financial advisory services, primarily to emerging growth technology and life science companies. In this capacity, Mr. Brenner manages the overall operations of the firm, which is located in Cupertino, California; the heart of Silicon Valley.

He is also a founder and Director Emeritus of Bridge Capital Holdings (NASDAQ BBNK), the parent company of Bridge Bank N.A., one of the most successful community banks in the country, and serves, or has served on many board of directors, both public and private.

"I have always viewed myself as a strong leader who was dedicated to focusing on management and leadership early in my career," Mr. Brenner said. "I noticed that other executives and good leaders were usually successful in their overall lives, also. My strong sense of family, as well as my business commitment, has differentiated me from others throughout my career."

Understanding that by combining finance, accounting, and information technology knowledge would be very advantageous to his career, in college Mr. Brenner majored in accounting, with a minor in data processing, something that helped accelerate his early career and continued to make him a strong candidate for growing businesses that needed someone with both disciplines.

Mr. Brenner holds a BS in Accounting with a minor in Data Processing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He understands the importance of giving back to his community, and is a board member, executive committee member, and disaster responder/volunteer for the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter, a national council member for the Boys Scouts of America, an executive committee member for the Boy Scouts of America's Western Region, an executive committee member and former chairman for their Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, and is a board chairman and board member emeritus for The Churchill Club. He has been honored with the Father of the Year Award from the American Diabetes Association and National Father's Day Council and with the Silver Antelope Award through the Boy Scouts of America, the highest honor awarded to a regional adult scouter.
