Booker, Sr., Senior System Analyst with Intuitive Research and Technology, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Marvin B. Booker, Sr.'s commitment to excellence in Government and Military Contracting.

    Marvin B. Booker, Sr., who recently earned his BA in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland in 2012, was hired in 2010 by his organization to serve as a senior system analyst with duties as an ammunition inspector.

    Having served thirty-three years in the military, Mr. Booker had a substantial amount of experience and education in the field. He currently identifies, researches, tests, and develops munitions/ammunitions to determine whether they are serviceable. He requests dispositions from program managers, major command and organizations, such as the US Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), Army Program Executive Office (PEO), and Redstone Test Center (RTC), and serves as liaison for the major command organizations and the Garrison Ammunition Supply Point. Mr. Booker is also responsible for writing/reviewing the post munitions/ammunitions regulation and the Post Standard Operating Procedure, constructs waste profile sheets, handles interim hazard classification, coordinates transportation and shipment of munitions/ammunition to off post installations, and mentors the Redstone Arsenal Community on ammunition and procedures.

    "My military training provided me with great discipline and training," Mr. Booker said. "My parents also instilled great work ethic and value in me at a very early age."

    Also a subject matter expert in Army ammunition life cycle management, Mr. Booker credits his inventory and distribution management, logistics management, troubleshooting, and various other areas of expertise to his success thus far. He hopes to soon pursue a JD and become a lawyer and work his way up to judge or mediator.

    Mr. Booker served in the US Army from 1977-2010, retiring as a Chief Warrant Five. He is a current member of the US Army Warrant Officers Association's Redstone Chapter and the Military Officers Association of America. He is the recipient of a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/Korean Defense Service Medal.
