  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) October 24, 2012 - Linda Marie Frank, Author, Educator, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Frank, who holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from St. John University, published her first book, 'The Madonna Ghost', in 2010 through iUniverse. It didn't take long before she realized that she was also interested in marketing, and within six months, she was learning to use media platforms that would lead to a very exciting career venture.

In addition to authoring her books, Frank is also a publicist, having complete control over art work of which she has her own illustrator. 'The Maddona Ghost' is now the first of two 'Annie Tillery Mysteries', the second is called 'Girl with Pencil, Drawing.' She manages social media sites to promote her books, does blogs, hosts local events at libraries, schools, book stores, and fairs, and is on the executive board of Long Island Authors Group. Frank also coordinates with another author to produce a workshop, 'So You Want to Write a Story', to demonstrate how to write, self-publish, and market books, and attends teacher conferences in an effort to display her books as a motivational tool for teachers to spark interest in the common core of science, social studies, and English language arts.

Frank is a retired science school teacher. She also taught at the university level, did educational consulting work, and mentoring of student teachers. She ended her career in public school education as a science department chairman.

"I loved teaching forensic science, which I did in both high school and college. I created case studies for my students. They became the bases of my books' plots," Frank explained.

Currently working on her third book, 'Secrets in the Fairy Chimneys', Frank is member of the Long Island Authors Group, Long Island Children's Writers, and Sisters in Crime. She was the recipient of a 1989 Teacher of the Year Award from her school and also received an award from the American Association of University Women for inspiring young women to pursue careers in science.
