  • (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2013 - Laura L. Bungarz, Teacher, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

Laura L. Bungarz began her teaching career in 2006 after earning her Bachelor's Degree in Education at Brandon University. After struggling to find work after teaching for just four years, she decided to start her own business teaching computer skills downtown, offering small workshops for both individuals and businesses, in addition to private tutoring.

As the sole owner and employee, Bungarz concentrates on subjects like word processing, file management, internet, and email.

"My goal is to set up at least two full size computer labs and teach in those labs full-time," Bungarz explained. "At the moment, I have just opened an office space where I have five computers available for teaching purposes. I would also like to offer seminars across Canada and the United States in the longer term."

Bungarz started her business at home as part of the Self-Employment Program, which is a government program funded by Employment Manitoba that helps those on Employment Insurance start their own business. She graduated the program in November of 2012.
