    Lubin, who began his career in 2007 after being hired by a local home health agency in Miami, Florida as a visiting nurse, has experience with diabetic, orthopedic, surgical, and pressure ulcer patients. He has been working as a geriatric nurse in nursing homes and as a contracted nurse for several detention centers.

    As a home health nurse, Lubin provides treatment to existing wounds and educates patients on proper care of surgical incisions and stomas. He also provides wound care management to bariatric surgery and diabetic neuropathy patients, educates diabetic patients, and administers insulin injections to patients' in the comfort of their own homes. As a staff nurse, Lubin carries doctors' orders, passes out medications, does wound care, works with patients with renal insufficiency, Alzheimer's disease, those with seizures, the physically disabled, those with mental disorders, HIV, cancer, and other diseases. He administers medications and assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care, and provides accurate and complete documentation of the care provided.

    "I believe that my nursing education and experiences have made me as a model in my community and it motivates me to give care to the less fortunate in a non-judgmental manner," Lubin said about his career.

    The certified wound care nurse hopes to obtain his doctorate degree in nursing practice in four years and would like to work for the public health department as a public health nurse serving the most vulnerable population by reducing the rate of wound care infection. He would also like to help to build Haiti their first non-profit wound care center to help those less fortunate obtain quality healthcare.

    Lubin is a diplomat of the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is also a member of numerous organizations, including the American Nursing Association, National Black Nursing Association, Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society, and the National Alliance of Wound Care. He has volunteered with the Miami Rescue Mission in June of 2010 and the Shake-A-Leg Miami Mission in July of 2010.
