    A Licensed Professional Counselor since 1998, Gail V. Baker attained her MS in Clinical Psychology at Central Missouri State College in 1995 and later received her PhD in Psychology at Walden University in 2014. With her current organization since 2006, Ms. Baker has worked in a variety of settings throughout her mental health career, including community and private outpatient clinics, in solo practice, and at an acute-care psychiatric hospital.

    As a mental health therapist, Ms. Baker works with all ages of clients as well as couples and families. Her clinical work consists of therapy and diagnostic assessment for emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions. She also provides supervision for interns and provisionally licensed practitioners. Over the years, as a result of research, field experience, academic instruction, and professional training, she has acquired specialty skills in three diverse areas: chronic pain management; combat-related psychosocial trauma; and transgender identity issues.

    Ms. Baker has also been teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Central Methodist University since 2012. She teaches graduate level psychology courses.

    Proud of her overseas humanitarian mission work through the International Center for Psychosocial Trauma (ICPT), she worked with the ICPT team from 2002-2004 in Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey providing training and interventions for providers and refuges from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Chechnya. In 2003, Ms. Baker also received a Humanitarian Award through a private organization.
