  • Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) January 22, 2014 - Dr. Lipton Clarke, who holds an MD in Medical Science through Dominican Republic East Central University (UCE), first began in his current field in December 2005 when he was working at Georgetown University Hospital. During those years he had the opportunity to attend many of the symposium and conferences, opening countless doors for him due to having just returned back from the Dominican Republic where he had studied medicine.

After meeting the symposium coordinator and CEO of a non-profit organization just outside of Georgetown, called To Save Our Young and Adults, Dr. Clarke was offered a medical director position and accepted. He has since worked at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington Adventist Hospital, and Prince George's Hospital.

Now teaching various private schools, mainly those that have limited programs and struggling for completion, these schools include: Stein Academy; Gandhi Health Career Services; Gandhi Health Career Services; and Health Focus, Inc. Titled as the lead instructor, Dr. Clarke communicates with various hospital settings to initiate clinical externship for the students and networks with various employment agencies as well as recruiters to help students find meaningful employment.

"I have learned to adapt and adjust myself in dealing with people on their level because not everybody was meant to be a doctor like myself," Dr. Clarke said about his expertise in the field. "Knowing this allows me to have tremendous patience with people."

Raised by a single mother alongside his seven siblings in a poverty-stricken family, Dr. Clarke is inspired everyday with the ambition to continue to reach his potential as far as his education will carry him. Hoping to someday become the medical correspondence on television and also as a teacher at the university level, Dr. Clarke is excited about the future of his career in medicine. As a member of the American Heart Association, American Pharmacy Association, and AARP, Dr. Clarke is also the recipient of an Appreciation Certificate from Prince George's Hospital, Department of Internal Medicine, for outstanding customer service to the internal medicine residency program, a 2012 Honorary Citizenship Certificate from Boys Town, and several accolades from his students.
