  • Portland-Vancouver, OR-WA (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2013 - Dr. David W. Tanton, Owner, Research Director, and Author of Soaring Heights Longevity Research Center, has been selected as a Professional Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

"No disease is incurable; all diseases are preventable", are words to live by if you ask Dr. Tanton. He has dedicated over fifty years to researching causes of all disease, but especially the most common diseases that have stricken Americans today: type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer's Disease.

Twenty years ago, Dr. Tanton founded Soaring Heights Longevity Research Center in the hopes of finding ways to greatly reduce biological aging.

To date, Dr. Tanton has written and published three books in print, which include: the award winning book A Drug-Free Approach to Healthcare (which covers 18 conditions); Reversing Type 2 Diabetes While Removing Fat; and Antidepressants, Antipsychotics and Stimulants: Dangerous Drugs on Trial (which covers mental and behavior disorders). He has also written and published three eBooks: Taking the Mystery Out of Alzheimer's; Taking the Mystery Out of Cancer, and Building a Powerful Heart and Free-Flowing Arteries.

In addition to many years of independent research, Dr. Tanton graduated with honors with a Doctorate in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton University. He is a member of Life Extension foundation, and was recently appointed to the doctor's advisory board for Garda Vita.

"We need to begin by focusing more on what we can do today to stop the degeneration and prevent the diseases that so many in the nation are currently acquiring," Dr. Tanton explains. "The rates of Alzheimer's, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease all continue to escalate, and the problem is two-fold. These diseases either shorten the lifespan, causing premature death, or greatly reduce the quality of life, or both. Our society relies too much on medications to manage symptoms, rather than focusing on disease prevention with adequate diet and quality nutrients."

According to Dr. Tanton, the drugs on the market today are part of the problem, not the solution. As someone who studied holistic medicine, he notes that most doctors are not trained in nutrition and thus cannot fully appreciate the serious concern regarding the critical nutrients the drugs deplete.

Dr. Tanton hopes to raise enough money in the future to establish a research facility dedicated to conducting clinical studies to prove that it's possible to prevent, or, when necessary, cure all diseases, focusing initially on the most common. Dr. Tanton maintains that by doing so, we can greatly reduce the soaring costs of healthcare in the nation, while helping people live longer, healthier, more productive lives.
