    Event Synopsis:
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was finally published and will apply as of May 25, 2018. Organizations in the European Union (EU), as well as non-European organizations that deliver goods and services or target consumers in Europe are expected to be significantly affected. The clock has started ticking and in order to take steps to implement the changes, it is of paramount importance that companies understand the GDPR’s impact on their business.

Although regulators are providing further guidance to implement GDPR, waiting is not an option for businesses. The need for compliance must be addressed as soon as it is possible. As EU Member State government may pass implementation laws, businesses should implement data protection compliance programs to safeguard data subjects and sidestep substantial enforcement penalties.

In this LIVE Webcast, a panel of distinguished professionals and thought leaders will help companies providing goods and services or targeting consumers in Europe understand the important aspects of this significant topic. They will provide an in-depth discussion of GDPR’s impact on businesses. Speakers will also offer best practices in developing and implementing data protection compliance programs in light of the regulation in 2018 and beyond.

    Key topics include:
    - The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Key Changes
    - GDPR Impacts on Businesses
    - GDPR Guidance and Recent Developments
    - Next Steps to Take
    - Best Compliance Practices
