  • (1888PressRelease) March 15, 2011 - Every article of foreign origin entering the United States must be legibly marked with the English name of the country of origin unless an exception from marking is provided for in the law. Goods can be detained by Customs before release, if not properly marked; or if goods are released, required to be redelivered to Customs custody. Noncompliance with the regulations can result in severe penalties to the importer.

This webinar will explain the regulations as they apply to most goods imported into the United States with easy to understand examples. It will also assist exporters and foreign manufacturers to understand U.S. marking regulations to help prevent problems before exporting goods into the U.S.

    Areas Covered in the Seminar:

    Purpose of marking.
Differences between marking rules for NAFTA versus non-NAFTA goods.
    Forms of marking.
    Special markings on certain articles.
    Articles exempt from marking.
    Marking requirements for containers.
Sanctions for goods not properly marked.

    Attendance cost: 149$

    Event organizer: ComplianceOnline
