    About Corbett Anderson
Corbett Anderson works in the EEOC’s Office of Legal Counsel as an Assistant Legal Counsel. He supervises attorneys responsible for drafting EEOC policy documents under Title VII, the ADEA, and the EPA, and for coordinating with other federal agencies to ensure the consistency of all federal EEO mandates. In his 18-year career at the EEOC, Corbett has served in several other capacities at the agency, including as a litigator at both the trial and appellate levels, and as a legal and policy advisor to two EEOC chairs. Before working for the EEOC, Corbett was with the Equal Employment Advisory Council, where he provided analysis, guidance, and training to Fortune 500 companies on EEO-related matters. He began his legal career as an associate in the law firm Buchanan Ingersoll in Pittsburgh, PA, where he represented employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.

    Event Synopsis:
In February 2018, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued its strategic plan for fiscal years 2018-2022. The previous strategic plan had expired. The new strategic plan conforms to, and follows on the heels of, the agency’s updated strategic enforcement plan for fiscal years 2017-2021. These new plans maintain EEOC's six enforcement priorities and add two new emerging issues that will receive the agency’s focus – the application of anti-discrimination laws to complex employment relationships, and discriminatory practices against Muslims, Sikhs, and other persons of Arab, Middle Eastern, or South Asian descent. These enforcement priorities will serve as EEOC's guide in investigations and litigation on the upcoming years.

Listen as a panel of key thought leaders and practitioners assembled by The Knowledge Group provide the audience with an overview of EEOC's enforcement priorities for 2018 and beyond. They will also review recent notable enforcement activities and how these will impact employers' compliance practices. Speakers will also offer practical pieces of advice in navigating EEOC investigations and in resolving charges.

In a LIVE Webcast, the speakers will discuss:

    • EEOC's Strategic Enforcement Plan for FY 2017-2021, and Strategic Plan for FY 2018-2022
    • Recent Notable EEOC Enforcement Actions and Policy Guidance
    • Latest Case Law Developments
    • Preparing for EEOC Investigations
    • Navigating the Conciliation Process
    • EEOC Task Force Report – Best Practices for Workplace Training
