Control Technology in the German Machinery Industry 2010 - Fine-Tuning Determining for the First Time

Top Quote Fine-tuning the consisting control systems at the machines instead of changing the control technology - the motto of the German machine-builders this year. End Quote
  • (1888PressRelease) July 13, 2010 - Bochum - These goals pursue the machine-builders for the first time since 2003. Since then the annual technological change in the automation technology is pursued by Quest TechnoMarketing. Quest TechnoMarketing, Bochum, London, is specialised in market surveys of the automation technology from users' point of view for more than 20 years.

Nearly each of the control technologies at the machines like PLC, PC-based control, microprocessor control and CNC are subject to fine-tuning, i.e. individual improvements, by the change-willing machine-builders. This trend covers these technologies from 70% to 97% at the change-willing machine-builders. A technology change as e.g. from the PLC to the PC technology or in reverse, takes only slightly place. However, this technology changes had been in the foreground in the past years.

The portion of the change-willing machine-builders in the control technology adds up to 23% of the machine-builders, a relatively high value. This value achieved with 27% its highest level since 2003 last year.

These current trends are published in the Quest Trend Magazine Online in German and English language on http://www.quest-trendmagazin.de/Fine-tuning-determining.103.0.html?&L=1.

So the Quest Trend Magazine makes the machine-builders' decisions easier. Now the machine-builders can compare their intended changes with the trends in their own sector confirming or adjusting their intentions.

The suppliers of automation technology are learning beyond their constituency, which changes in control technologies the machinery industry as a whole is aiming for this year. This enables the suppliers to meet the demand trends in time and purposefully.

The trends from the users' point of view are based on market surveys of Quest TechnoMarketing, Bochum, London, with the title "What the machine-builders want to change in the automation technology 2010". This survey was carried out in January/February and covered scarcely 250 representative machine-builders. Highlight, table of contents and budget of the study are on http://www.qtm.de/e/index_marketstudies_free.html
