The main aim of the new website is to simplify the online buying process for The Range customer, enabling them to shop online with the same ease and convenience they would find in store.

The Range selected BT Fresca to redesign, build and host its new transactional website. BT Fresca has configured its e-commerce platform FrescaCommerce to meet the demanding design and functional requirements, and integrated with The Range's fulfillment system, for dynamic updates of product information and stock availability. The FrescaCommerce Platform is a feature-rich, high-availability, on-demand e-commerce platform used by a number of leading retailers.

The site features a more sophisticated customer facing functionality with a modern look and is filled with great content that is easier to navigate. The new site is also quick loading and makes the customer journey simple and enjoyable.

The website contains lots of new features including a greatly improved store finder, a wish list option, products suggestions and product reviews from other customers.
The updated website comes as retailers are increasingly finding the need for a sophisticated online presence, as more and more customers want to shop and browse online.

The Range are continuing their aggressive growth strategy which will see them operate close to 60 stores by the end of the year, with a further 20 stores planned for 2012.

Chris Dawson, owner and founder of The Range, commented: "We are a growing business and our success is down to the fact we are able to offer customers a wide variety of products at unbeatable prices with a quality driven team onboard."

Mark Andrews, Ecommerce Manager added: "We are extremely proud of our new website. As well as being heavily focused on expanding our physical business, online is now a strategic priority for us, as it represents a significant sales channel and opportunity. Our new platform will enable us to give our customers the very best levels of service. It includes features that will make the customer shopping experience easier and more enjoyable."

As well as the launch of a new retail website, the Range has also diversified into property, manufacturing, waste management, shop-fitting, hearing aids, dry cleaning and we have just launched a financial services website, www.themoneyrange.co.uk which offers Insurance, Savings, Utilities, Mortgages and Travel Money which enables our customers finances to be made simple.

The Range has also recently won a place on the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of Britain's leading mid-market private companies.

Thanks to its competitive prices, The Range has thrived during the past few years while some of its famous retail rivals have struggled. Nearly all of The Range's new stores are in spaces left vacant by victims of the recession, notably MFI and Woolworths.
