Computer Lab Solutions Announces Energy Efficient Software JuicePress For University Computer Labs
Computer Lab Solutions announces its latest product to the LabStats Suite, energy efficient software JuicePress, to optimize energy usage at university computer labs.

JuicePress software helps computer lab managers to track the amount of energy used by every computer in a large networked I.T. environment, and alerts lab managers how to harness that energy to better use.
Christian Hayes, a founder of Computer Lab Solutions, felt that energy saving software would be a great benefit to current and future clients currently using LabStats.
"One of the convincing facts that I had at my disposal was that I had seen many of my customers' LabStats reports over the years. Because LabStats has always reported when computers are on or off, as well as in use, I could easily tell whether schools were powering down machines, or just leaving them on when the lab was open, regardless of the usage. I started to realize that many schools just left the computers on, for whatever reason, which helped convince me of the opportunity to save," said Hayes.
While most computers come equipped with power saving settings, many need to be configured individually; a daunting task when a lab has 1000+ computers to manage. JuicePress allows lab managers to control all of their computers from one central location.
"Many of the labs we work with used to leave their computers running all day and all night, including weekends, which amounted to thousands of kilowatts being wasted during empty lab times.
