  • (1888PressRelease) June 01, 2012 - Comptoir du Cacao is a French-based family-run artisan chocolate factory that makes high-quality single-origin chocolates in unique flavours. The company will be showcasing its products at A Taste of France, a fine-food event that will take place at Kensington Roof Gardens in central London on 14 June.

"We are aware of both the importance of the UK market for our range and of the British public's search for first-rate products. Our line has sold very well here in the past and it is with immense joy and pleasure that we come again [to A Taste of France] to present the novelties we have developed for the 2012/2013 season, hoping they will again charm the always-exacting British public," explains Graciela Poupon, Export Manager at Comptoir du Cacao.

Comptoir du Cacao is a family-run artisan chocolate factory established in the heart of the French countryside, 100 kilometres south of Paris. The company will be exhibiting its products at A Taste of France, a fine-food event organised by the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in London, which will take place at Kensington Roof Gardens on 12 June 2012.

Comptoir du Cacao makes fine, single-origin chocolates from pure cocoa butter in new and unique flavours. These chocolates, known for their quality and unparalleled taste, include Flaky Pralines, which are available in a range of flavours, including hazelnut, pistachio and salted-butter caramel, as well as a fruit-paste variety that comes in raspberry or banana-rum punch. The hazelnut and salted-butter caramel Flaky Pralines won the 1st and 2nd prize respectively at the Paris Chocolate Show in 2003 and 2006. These pralines, originally created as one-bite confectionery, are now available in bars.

In addition to its extended assortment of fine chocolates, Comptoir du Cacao offers a delicious line of caramel and hazelnut spreads, along with chocolate flakes and cocoa powder, which are suitable for home baking.

The combination of the rich ingredients and an original concept is what makes Comptoir du Cacao unique. It places great importance on visual presentation, which is demonstrated by its stylish packaging that combines transparent panels and wooden boxes.

Comptoir du Cacao's products are sold at the company's shop in Paris (192 Ave. de Versailles), and in large French department stores, such as Galleries Lafayette Gourmet. The company's products can also be found in shops worldwide, from Senegal to Switzerland and Hong Kong to Hungary.
